The MRC has taken disciplinary action against three players following Parramatta's surprising win over Canterbury-Bankstown on Sunday afternoon.
Matt Burton from the Bulldogs received a charge for a Grade 1 careless high tackle after he made contact with Luca Moretti. His fine amounts to $1,000, which would have escalated by $500 had he chosen to contest the ruling at the judiciary panel.
Similarly, Toni Mataele of Parramatta faced a Grade 1 careless high tackle charge related to an incident with Sitili Tupouniua, incurring the same $1,000 fine as Burton.
In addition, Sitili Tupouniua was charged for a Grade 1 shoulder charge against Luca Moretti, resulting in a $1,500 fine. This fine could have increased to $2,000 had the matter proceeded before the judiciary and been upheld.
Notably, all three players are deemed first-time offenders in this context.
