The Brisbane Broncos have announced that their star player, Corey Jensen, has been admitted to the hospital due to a lung blood clot, adding to a troubling list of injuries.
Following the team's recent win over the Wests Tigers, Jensen was swiftly taken to the hospital, where he is currently under medical observation with no clear timeline for his return.
"Following Saturday night's game, Corey Jensen was also sent for scans which has revealed a pulmonary embolism," a club statement confirmed.
According to the report, "Jensen remains in hospital and the recovery time is unclear, but he is expected to miss several weeks."
This development comes right on the heels of injuries sustained by other key players, including Payne Haas, who is dealing with an MCL issue, and Jesse Arthars, who has an injury to his interosseous membrane, rendering them unavailable for this week's matches.
