Broncos Face Dire Injuries to Key Players

The Brisbane Broncos face a significant setback in their forward pack following the alarming news regarding prop Corey Jensen, who has been hospitalized due to a pulmonary embolism, while star player Payne Haas is also set to miss a considerable amount of time.

On Monday, the club announced that Jensen underwent scans after the game on Saturday night, which uncovered a serious health issue.

"Following Saturday night's game, Corey Jensen was also sent for scans, which revealed a pulmonary embolism."

"Jensen remains in the hospital and the recovery time is unclear, but he is expected to miss several weeks."

A pulmonary embolism, which is a blood clot that travels to the lungs, poses a life-threatening risk if not addressed quickly, emphasizing the need for Jensen's immediate health to take precedence over any potential return to the field.

This distressing update adds to the Broncos' growing list of injuries, as Haas also faces time on the bench after sustaining an MCL injury during the same match.

The club elaborated on Haas' condition in a media release issued on Monday.

"The Brisbane Broncos can confirm Payne Haas suffered a Grade 3 MCL injury in Saturday night's game against the Wests Tigers."

According to initial medical evaluations, Haas might be out for an estimated 6-8 weeks.
