Canberra Raiders NRLW development player Alanna Dummett has been promoted to the club's top 24 squad after Felice Quinlan suffered a season-ending ankle injury, as reported by raiders.com.au.

Dummett, originally from Bega, has progressed through the Raiders' system in the past few years, featuring in the Tarsha Gale Cup for two seasons (2021 and 2022) and even captaining the team last year.

In 2022, the 19-year-old was selected for the NSW Under 19s squad and played a crucial role in the Mounties team that clinched the 2023 Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership earlier this year.

Raiders NRLW coach Darrin Borthwick expressed his disappointment over Quinlan's surgery and subsequent absence for the rest of the season.

However, Borthwick also expressed his enthusiasm for Dummett's inclusion in the top squad, highlighting the potential she brings to the team.
