O'Donnell's Future Uncertain Amid Super League Interest

Kai O'Donnell, a back-rower known for his impactful time at Leigh, may be eyeing a return to the Leopards.

After a triumphant three-year stint with the club, O'Donnell returned to the NRL in 2025, but he is now at a crossroads with his contract ending this season and no agreement for 2027 in place.

This scenario has caught the attention of several Super League teams back in the UK, as O'Donnell's impressive performances while donning Leigh's jersey have not gone unnoticed.

As reported by Love Rugby League, he may soon be headed back to the Super League, with various suitors already expressing interest.

Before making a decision, O'Donnell is currently weighing his options within the NRL, having secured a new chance with the North Queensland Cowboys for the 2025 season.

His debut year in Townsville saw him make 18 appearances for the team, but this season has unfolded differently.

He has participated in only five matches out of 18 rounds, with his last outing being against the Parramatta Eels in Round 10.

While his time in Townsville seems to be winding down, interest from other teams continues to grow.

O'Donnell first entered the NRL with the Canberra Raiders in 2020, later moving to the Leopards and playing from 2022 to 2024.
