In a challenging match at Jubilee Stadium, the nib Newcastle Knights were defeated 20-6 by the St.

George Illawarra Dragons.

The Knights, who had recently secured a 25-6 victory over the Panthers, struggled to replicate their strong offensive performance.

The Dragons capitalized on this, scoring tries from Jaydn Su'A, Clint Gutherson, and Loko Pasifiki Tonga to take an 18-0 lead at halftime.

Throughout the match, the Dragons dominated possession with 55%, gradually wearing down the Knights.

Despite a late try by Kai Pearce-Paul that offered a glimmer of hope for Newcastle with 10 minutes remaining, the Knights were unable to maintain the momentum.

Looking ahead, the Knights are set to face the Sea Eagles next Thursday, coinciding with the inaugural Knights Community Round at McDonald Jones Stadium.
