Dolphins shake off determined challenge from the Titans

The Dolphins showed their resilience and determination as they overcame their poor discipline and a formidable Gold Coast Titans team in their opening Pre-Season Challenge match.

It was expected that the Dolphins, with their experienced lineup, would dominate from the start, and they did just that with Herbie Farnworth scoring the first try of the match after a brilliant pass from birthday boy Isaiya Katoa.

However, the Dolphins made the mistake of lowering their intensity, allowing the Titans to snatch the momentum with Tony Francis showcasing his flair to score a try on the right side.

Francis, who had previously played in a losing grand final, continued his impressive form by scoring another try before half-time, giving the Gold Coast a well-deserved lead.

Despite having less possession and a lower completion rate in the first half, the Dolphins made the necessary improvements during the break.

Shortly after winger Jack Bostock was denied a try, the Dolphins quickly regained their lead.
