NRL Players Face Suspension After Matches

Four players have been cited by the NRL Match Review Committee following the events of Round 19 that took place on Friday and Saturday nights.

The judiciary outcomes from Friday's clash at Campbelltown Sports Stadium revealed two dangerous contact charges being issued.

Bunty Afoa has been hit with a Grade 2 Dangerous Contact charge resulting from a 12th-minute incident involving Warriors outside back Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad.

If Afoa submits an early guilty plea, he will face a one-match suspension, which will prevent him from participating in the Tigers' Round 20 match against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

Should he decide to challenge his charge and lose, the penalty would escalate to a two-match ban.

James Fisher-Harris is the only other player cited for Dangerous Contact during Friday's match, with his charge related to a 36th-minute incident involving Wests Tigers prop Alex Twal.

Fisher-Harris, unlike Afoa, is facing a monetary penalty for his actions.

For an early guilty plea, he has been fined $1,000, which would increase to $1,500 if he contests the charge and is unsuccessful before the panel.

In addition, two more charges emerged from Saturday night's matches.
