The NZ Warriors and Venues Ōtautahi have extended their partnership agreement, ensuring that the Warriors will continue to play at the new One New Zealand Stadium in Christchurch until 2028.

This deal will allow the Warriors to bring a home game to Christchurch for at least five years, solidifying their presence in New Zealand's second largest city.

The initial partnership began last year and has already seen successful sell-out games against Canberra and Newcastle.

Warriors CEO Cameron George expressed his excitement about the extended deal, stating, "We have experienced first-hand the passion and commitment of Christchurch sports fans and we will do everything we can to ensure the next five years are just as successful." Venues Ōtautahi CEO Caroline Harvie also expressed her enthusiasm for the extended agreement, saying, "We are thrilled to continue working with the Warriors and bringing top-level rugby league to Christchurch.

This extended partnership is a testament to the strong relationship we have built with the club and we look forward to many more successful games in the years to come." The Warriors have a strong connection to Christchurch, with several players hailing from the region and a dedicated fan base in the area.

The extended deal is a testament to the success of the partnership thus far and the potential for growth in the future.

As the Warriors prepare to take on the Dragons in this year's Anzac Day clash in Christchurch, fans can look forward to many more exciting games in the city in the years to come.
