Central Coast Roosters have stormed their way to victory once again, clinching their second consecutive SLE Andrew Johns Cup title with a hard-fought 20-12 win over Macarthur Wests Tigers at Cessnock Sportsground.

This historic win cements the Roosters' status as the first club to achieve back-to-back triumphs in the competition.

This marks the Roosters' third Andrew Johns Cup trophy since the inception of the regional Under 16s competition six years ago, adding to their premiership glory in 2021.

Despite Macarthur's formidable defensive reputation this season, the Roosters wasted no time in taking control of the game.

Winger Semi Leweniqila set the tone early with a sensational try in the second minute, showcasing his speed and agility with a stellar finish in the right corner.

Leweniqila's remarkable performance also saw him claim the title of the leading try-scorer in both the Southern and Northern Conferences, with this try marking his impressive 10th of the season.

A second try from interchange prop Blessing Foini in the 23rd minute, coupled with expert conversions from halfback Owen Knowles, saw the Roosters establish a commanding 12-0 lead going into halftime.

The Roosters' relentless determination and strategic plays proved too much for the Tigers to handle, ultimately securing their well-deserved victory and solidifying their legacy in the annals of Rugby League history.

This triumph is a testament to the Roosters' unwavering teamwork, skill, and unwavering commitment to excellence on the field.
