The Leeds Rhinos may be considered the 'away' team for their upcoming clash with the Warrington Wolves at Magic Weekend, but they are set to benefit from a strong show of support at their 'home away from home' at Elland Road.
The Betfred Super League action will be heating up on August 17 and 18, with all the matches broadcast live on Sky Sports.
Elland Road, the stomping ground of the Leeds United football club, is just a short drive away from the Rhinos' usual AMT Headingley turf.
This familiar territory has seen the Rhinos celebrate victories in the World Club Challenge against the Canterbury Bulldogs and Melbourne Storm, as well as hosting Super League matches in 2018.
Older fans will fondly recall the glory days of Mal Reilly's squad triumphing over Castleford in the 1988 Yorkshire Cup final in front of a crowd of 23,000.
While the shift from Newcastle's St James' Park to Elland Road has raised some eyebrows, the Rhinos and their captain Cameron Smith are eager to embrace the challenge.
"There's a lot of hype surrounding the event, but we're sticking to the game plan and focusing on the task at hand," said Smith.
With the home crowd advantage and a hint of nostalgia in the air, the Rhinos are ready to seize the moment and make waves at Magic Weekend.
