Nathan Cleary, the rugby league grand final man-of-the-match, has thrown his support behind the yes campaign in the voice referendum.

In a video message shared on social media, Cleary urged Australians to vote yes, saying, "No voice, no choice, come on Australia, vote yes." The message was reposted by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who declared, "it's a yes from @_nathancleary." The video originally came from the TikTok account of Roy Ah-See, a Wiradjuri man and former chairperson of the New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council.

Cleary's endorsement is part of a renewed push from athletes to support the yes case in the upcoming referendum.

The voice referendum is set to take place in two weeks' time, and it aims to determine whether an Indigenous voice to parliament should be enshrined in the constitution.
