Destiny Mino-Sinapati Shines in Debut

Destiny Mino-Sinapati with the ball for Queensland on debut.

Younger Maroons foster hope for a brighter future following a challenging series defeat.

Queensland debutant Destiny Mino-Sinapati faced the tough challenge of filling in for injured captain Tamika Upton but excelled in her new role.

Despite expressing pre-game jitters about taking on the fullback position, the 21-year-old showcased her talents seamlessly during the match.

In addition to effectively handling kicks and breaking tackles, Mino-Sinapati gained an impressive 119 metres in the team's hard-fought 12-4 loss against the Blues, second only to prop Jessika Elliston's 136 metres.

Mino-Sinapati embodied this year's Queensland team, which faced the difficult challenge of losing significant experience due to the retirements of veterans Ali Brigginshaw and Tazmin Rapana, along with the absence of players like Tarryn Aiken, Evania Isa'ako, and Shannon Mato.
