Harris-Tavita signs one-year extension to end of 2027

Chanel Harris-Tavita has extended his contract with the NZ Warriors, committing to an eighth season through 2027.

The 27-year-old initially signed a two-year deal for 2024 and 2025 before adding an extra year, taking his contract to 2026.

Having developed through the club's youth program, he has reached the peak of his career since returning.

With a 28-19 win-loss record in 48 games, he boasts a remarkable series of seven consecutive wins this season.

His tenure has been marked by a milestone: his 100th NRL game in the Anzac Day match against the Dolphins, making him the 32nd player in the Warriors' 100-game club.

Born on April 3, 1999, in Auckland, NZ, Harris-Tavita has played for junior clubs like Howick Hornets and Pakuranga Jaguars.

He stands 183cm tall and weighs 89kg, making his NRL debut on April 5, 2019.

As the Warriors' No. 233 player, he has recorded 102 NRL appearances and amassed 219 points.

Harris-Tavita has also represented Toa Samoa in 10 Tests and played for the Māori All Stars.
