The New Zealand Warriors are poised to make announcements regarding two critical re-signings in the near future, ensuring stability in their halves for the years ahead.

With Luke Metcalf departing for the St George Illawarra Dragons after receiving a release effective at the year's end, it will be up to Chanel Harris-Tavita, Te Maire Martin, Jett Cleary, and Luke Hanson to guide the club into the future.

The urgency to secure new contracts has intensified, especially since Hanson is already rumored to be heading to the Gold Coast Titans, and Harris-Tavita is among those whose contracts are expiring along with Martin.

This urgency was amplified when it was reported that the North Queensland Cowboys had an interest in Harris-Tavita, although they soon opted to re-sign Jake Clifford, who will continue to pair with Tom Dearden in the halves.

Coach Andrew Webster of the Warriors confirmed their desire to keep Harris-Tavita, and club CEO Cameron George stated on Sport Nation Radio in New Zealand that he wouldn't be leaving anytime soon.

Add to that, George mentioned that the club is making progress in talks with Martin and his management regarding his future, with promising news expected shortly.

"We've been having those discussions over the last week or so," George stated.

"I'm hoping that we'll have very good news in the next few days or this week," he added on Sport Nation.

Metcalf, anticipated to step in with Tanah Boyd sidelined due to an ACL injury, has been passed over for selections, remaining focused on his recovery.
