Tom Burgess has emerged as a standout player, causing a fresh NRL storm over the Dally M voting.
The Sharks halfback, Nicho Hynes, has found himself in the firing line due to his two-point haul despite a lackluster performance in the recent match against the Rabbitohs.
NRL commentator Andrew Voss has been vocal in his frustration, questioning the judgement of the Dally M voters.
Criticism has been aimed at players like Dylan Brown, who was rewarded with points despite a poor showing at halfback.
Voss, known for his colorful commentary, has once again raised eyebrows over Hynes' two-point tally, insisting there were several other players who deserved recognition ahead of him.
Voss, calling the shots during the Sharks' victory over the Rabbitohs, expressed his disappointment in the scoring system, highlighting the overlooked players who outshone Hynes on the field.
This has sparked backlash from fans and calls for a review of the Dally M voting process.
"It's not about tearing down Nicho Hynes, but it seems like he's the go-to guy for points in Cronulla games," Voss remarked on SEN Radio.
"I was there calling the game and I can confidently say that there were at least six other players who outperformed him on the day."
