Broncos Shine with Eight Players in State of Origin

Broncos Well Represented in Women's State of Origin Game 1 Squads

The Brisbane Broncos NRLW team boasts a solid presence in the 2026 Women's State of Origin series.

Seven players are part of the Queensland squad, with one representing New South Wales for Game 1 on April 30.

Newly signed Jesse Southwell retains her role as the Blues halfback.

For Queensland, Tamika Upton, Julia Robinson, Romy Teitzel, Chelsea Lenarduzzi, Destiny Brill, Jada Ferguson, and Brianna Clark have all earned their spots.

Notably, this marks the return of Clark to the Queensland team after her absence since 2021 due to new eligibility rules.

Upton noted that fierce competition for spots has emerged during training camps, highlighted by five debutants in the Queensland lineup.

The selected players have been involved in an extensive Maroons training program over the past six weeks, alongside Broncos teammates Shannon Mato, Tavarna Papalii, and Lillian Yarrow.
