The Raiders website has put out the word that the contenders for the coveted 2024 Players' Champion award have been revealed.

The Rugby League Players Association (RLPA) has proudly announced the 68 players in the running for this prestigious NRL award, handpicked by the RLPA's player leaders from each and every club.

With four players named from every NRL team, the 68 Contenders now have the chance to be voted for by their fellow NRL players to clinch the highly sought-after Players' Champion accolade, known as rugby league's pinnacle player-voted prize.

The individual victor of the Players' Champion award from the NRL is set to be unveiled on Grand Final Day, marking the climax of the season on October 6.

Among the star-studded list of Contenders are past Players' Champion titans such as Tom Trbojevic, who secured the title in 2021, and the formidable James Tedesco, a three-time victor in 2017, 2019, and 2022.

Not to be forgotten is the legendary Johnathan Thurston, holding the record for most Players' Champion victories with a whopping four titles (2005, 2013, 2014, 2015).

Tedesco now sits on the cusp of matching this illustrious record, adding an extra layer of excitement and anticipation to this year's award race.
