Raiders Crush Bulldogs 40-16

Raiders dominate Bulldogs in huge win at Accor

The Canberra Raiders overwhelmed the Bulldogs 40-16 at Accor Stadium to keep their finals hopes alive.

An early knock-on by Jethro Rinakama denied the home side a score and led to Xavier Savage racing the length of the field to open the scoring.

Ethan Sanders converted, sparking the Raiders' fast start.

Canberra's forwards continually imposed themselves, while hooker Owen Patty executed a 40/20 that set up Noah Martin's try on his return.

Sanders then found Zac Hosking with a precise kick for another five-pointer.

The Raiders stretched their lead as conversions and a scrum penalty pushed the margin out.

Sanders added a late first-half penalty to send Canberra into the break 22-0 up.

The Bulldogs regrouped after halftime and Stephen Crichton's kick created Jethro Rinakama's try, giving Canterbury their first points.

But the Raiders' relentless pressure produced more scoring and sealed a commanding win.
