Cameron Ciraldo addressed concerns regarding Lachlan Galvin's role as a halfback following the Bulldogs' recent loss, marking their second disappointing defeat in two weeks.
The team had shown promising signs earlier this month, celebrating a significant victory against Penrith, which many considered Galvin's finest performance to date.
However, things have taken a turn for the worse for Ciraldo's squad, as they have now slipped out of the top eight after consecutive defeats to weakened Parramatta and Brisbane teams.
While these losses have raised questions about the Bulldogs' potential for a championship run, it is evident that Galvin stands out as one of the team's most talented players.
In the match against Brisbane, Galvin's performance was noteworthy, consistently testing the defensive line with 12 line engagements, and he handled the majority of the kicking duties, racking up 322 metres compared to his halves partner Matt Burton's mere 21.
Yet, at times, it appears that the demands on him might be overwhelming, particularly for a 20-year-old still navigating the challenges of the NRL.
