The team's recent streak of four consecutive losses faded from memory as Smith contributed to three of Wigan's four tries, with Adam Keighran notching one and adding eight points.
Following a resounding Challenge Cup triumph over St Helens, Wigan has decisively defeated the top teams in just seven days, with Smith playing a crucial role in their resurgence.
Having missed two of the earlier losses due to injury, Smith quickly made his mark, helping Wigan gain control within the first seven minutes despite Leeds' initial pressure.
His kick was deflected to Keighran, allowing Jack Farrimond to score in the corner, putting Leeds-who sought a win to reclaim the top spot-on the defensive.
