Tigers coach Benji Marshall has recently voiced his frustrations over the "inconsistency of the refereeing" in the NRL, fervently supporting skipper Apisai Koroisau after two reports were issued during Thursday night's victory against the Raiders.
Koroisau found himself in the sin bin for ten minutes due to a hip-drop tackle on Noah Martin in the first half and was subsequently reported for a dangerous lifting tackle on Zac Hosking later in the match.
This season alone, the Tigers captain has already been charged three times, indicating that he may be facing a suspension when the match review committee reveals its verdict on Friday.
Marshall's criticism of the refereeing could stem from being prompted about the Tigers' solid defensive performance, which serves as a backdrop for his comments.
"I've been happy with the defence probably out of all the aspects of the game to start the whole season," Marshall pointed out.
"Probably defence and the West Tigers haven't been synonymous previously, but we made a massive effort in the pre-season to make sure that it was this year."
