Big news out of the Sydney Roosters camp as prop Spencer Leniu looks set to secure a lucrative deal to stay with the club for the long haul.

Leniu, a former Penrith Panthers player who recently made his mark in the New South Wales State of Origin team, has been a key player for the Roosters as they soar up the NRL ladder, aiming for glory in the upcoming finals.

Despite facing some time off due to suspension, Leniu has made a strong impact coming off the bench for the Roosters, earning him a solid reputation on the field.

Reports from News Corp suggest that the club has locked him in for a new three-year contract, keeping him in the tri-colours jersey until 2028.

This new deal is rumored to bring Leniu a hefty paycheck of around $800,000 per year, putting him among the top earners in the forward pack across the league.

It's a significant pay rise of about $200,000 per year for the talented Blues representative, showing the Roosters' commitment to keeping their key players happy and on board for the long haul.
