Nathan Cleary's stress-related right-foot injury has become central to Penrith's premiership hopes, but the Panthers expect their halfback to play next Sunday's preliminary final.
He will undertake light duties and limited kicking, with a confirmed two-week break before Penrith face either the Warriors or Newcastle.
Penrith have reached 20 finals since Ivan Cleary began his second coaching stint in 2020, missing only 21 matches through injury across that period.
No finals match has featured more than three Panthers unavailable, while Cleary, co-captain Isaah Yeo and Liam Martin have appeared in all 20.
The club has also retained its preferred fullback, five-eighth, halfback and hooker for every preliminary final and grand final during its six-year dynasty.
Yeo returned from a ruptured pectoral muscle after delaying surgery and initially believing his season had ended.
"It was more credit to the surgeon, he gave us the glimmer of hope that we could see how it goes and how it pulls up," Yeo said.
He said a final-round trial against Wests Tigers restored his confidence in the injured muscle: "So far it has given me absolute confidence."
