The move follows the departure of defense coach John Morris, who left after three seasons with the team. The search for his replacement will be led by a committee that includes CEO Shaun Mielekamp and general manager Pat Richards.
This new committee will recommend candidates to Marshall, marking a significant shift in how the coaching staff will be determined.
Concerns had previously been raised about the level of control granted to Marshall and the necessity for him to have advisors who could challenge his decisions.
This scrutiny intensified due to the close ties between Marshall and various football department members, including assistant coach Brett Hodgson and conditioning coach Chris Heighington, all of whom were part of the Tigers' 2005 premiership-winning team.
