Wigan Warriors pulled off a stunning comeback to overtake Hull KR and surge to the top of the table in a nail-biting clash at the Brick Community Stadium.

Liam Marshall's double trouble sealed the deal for Wigan, leaving Hull KR hanging on by a thread in the final two rounds before the play-offs.

The showdown between these two top teams truly lived up to the hype, with drama unfolding as yellow cards for Joe Burgess and Jai Whitbread set the stage for Wigan's epic rally.

The defending champions clawed their way back from a double-figure deficit, reclaiming their spot at the summit with only two regular season matches left.

Hull KR were left reeling after Burgess dashed their hopes with a stunning 90-metre counter-attack, sending their fans into a frenzy early in the second half.

However, Whitbread's costly yellow for a high tackle on Tyler Dupree gave Wigan the opening they needed to turn the tide.

Marshall's late heroics sealed the deal for the hosts in a heart-stopping finish.

From Matt Parcell crashing over for the opening try to Mikey Lewis bulldozing his way through Wigan's defense, Hull KR looked set to dominate.

But Wigan's fighting spirit and never-say-die attitude saw them claw their way back into the game, ultimately emerging victorious in a thrilling contest.

Watch out for Wigan as they gear up for the play-offs, ready to take on all challengers in their quest for glory.
