The Wests Tigers have shared an injury update on several of their key players as the team gains momentum at the season's midpoint.
This year, the Tigers have been plagued by a significant injury toll, which has hampered their ability to maintain consistent performance in 2026.
The season began brightly in March, but as injuries accumulated, their game performance suffered, and they have had to lean on their squad depth for support.
Initially appearing to have a career-ending injury in their Magic Round match against Manly, Taylan May is now set to make a comeback from a right shoulder dislocation in about two to three weeks.
Similarly, first-choice halfback Adam Doueihi is nearing the end of his rehabilitation from a shoulder injury incurred in Round 9 while scoring a try. He is expected to return alongside May, also within a two to three-week timeframe.
Meanwhile, Alex Twal is facing a four to six-week absence after scans confirmed an MCL injury sustained during the Tigers' recent victory over the Bulldogs. This news is disappointing for fans, as Twal has been in exceptional form this season and has consistently been one of the top performers for the club.
Additionally, left-side second rower Samuela Fainu will be out for another six to seven weeks due to a right foot injury he suffered in Round 9.
If all four players return by the season's end, Benji Marshall will have his team well-prepared for a strong finish, as they aim for a rare finals appearance, something they haven't achieved since 2011.
