Canberra Raiders head coach Ricky Stuart has shared insights into his selection process following their recent win over the Tigers.

Notably, he revealed that his players are now playing a significant role in deciding the run-on team each week.

A surprising decision was made to start Hudson Young, who only 48 hours earlier had played in the Origin 2 match for the New South Wales Blues in Perth.

Corey Horsburgh also began the game; although he did not play in Origin 2, he was part of the Maroons' squad.

Both players faced the challenge of a nearly five-hour flight back to take on the Tigers at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

The Raiders initially established a comfortable lead, ending the first half at 16-0.

However, the Tigers mounted a comeback, forcing the Raiders into a heavy defensive effort to secure the victory.

Stuart's approach reflects a collaborative team dynamic, showcasing how player input is shaping the team's strategies and selection.
