Nathan Cleary has come out on top after undergoing surgery to fix his ongoing shoulder issues that have been holding him back in the footy field.
The Penrith Panthers ace had to undergo Laterjet surgery to give his shoulder more stability, which had been a real pain in the neck for him.
But now, with his recovery in full swing, there are doubts swirling around whether Cleary will be in fighting form in time for the season opener in Las Vegas.
The Panthers, alongside the New Zealand Warriors, Cronulla Sharks, and Canberra Raiders, are gearing up to kick off the season at Allegiant Stadium.
The usual recovery time for Laterjet surgery is around 12 to 16 weeks, which means Cleary is cutting it pretty close with the Vegas match coming just 16 weeks post-surgery.
Only time will tell if Cleary can pull through and make his mark on the Vegas showdown.
