"What Spencer said was wrong, there's no doubt about that, but it was not intended in a malicious way," Robinson added, using a sporting analogy to explain Leniu's actions.

Robinson emphasized the importance of education and understanding in moving forward, stating that Leniu has already begun to educate himself on the impact of his words.

He also noted that the incident has sparked important conversations within the club and the wider rugby league community, likening it to a pivotal on-field play that can change the course of a game.

"We have to use this as an opportunity to learn, grow, and become better individuals and a better society," Robinson urged, using a historic Rugby League reference to highlight the potential impact of this moment.

He remains hopeful that Leniu's ban can serve as a catalyst for positive change, both within the sporting realm and in society as a whole, echoing sentiments of unity and progress echoed through the ages in Australian sports culture.
