Seachange's family added another major result when Blind Raise won Saturday's Gr.3 Caulfield Guineas Prelude (1400m), sharing favouritism for the Gr.1 Caulfield Guineas (1600m).
Bred and sold by The Oaks Stud, the three-year-old is prepared by Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young and has won four of five starts.
His earlier victories included the Listed McKenzie Stakes (1300m) and Anzac Day Stakes (1400m).
Blind Raise is by Ace High and is the second foal of Darci Brahma mare Away Cruising, whose family descends from Seachange.
The Cape Cross mare won seven Group One races and was twice New Zealand Horse of the Year for The Oaks principal Dick Karreman.
"She was a freak and is still here in retirement, she's great and strong as an ox," The Oaks General Manager Rick Williams said.
Williams said Blind Raise was bought by Busuttin for $70,000 after initially passing in at Karaka.
"He's an exciting horse and could be the real deal, Trent's been telling me for some time that he really is," Williams said.
A juvenile brother missed the National Yearling Sale after a paddock injury, but has since been broken in and is ready to progress.
A colt by Almanzor will be offered next year, while Away Cruising is due to foal to Almanzor again next month.
