In the NRLW season opener, the Canberra Raiders faced a tough loss against the Dragons, falling 36-14.

The Dragons, spearheaded by Indie Bostock and Teagan Berry, overwhelmed the Raiders' defense, marking their first victory over the team.

Initially, the Raiders applied pressure, but it was Teagan Berry who shifted momentum.

Berry executed a swift move across the field to connect with Indie Bostock, who evaded several defenders and sprinted 80 meters to score, putting the Dragons ahead 6-0.

The Raiders, capitalizing on a forced dropout, found their footing when Hollie-Mae Dodd broke free from multiple tackles to score their first try, narrowing the score to 6-4.

However, the Dragons responded assertively.

Following a seven-tackle set, Zali Hopkins maneuvered through the Raiders' defense to score under the posts, extending the lead to 12-4.

This match set the stage for an exciting season ahead, illustrating the competitive spirit of the NRLW teams.
