Raiders Face Warriors in NRLW Showdown

NRLW Match Preview: Raiders v Warriors

The Canberra Raiders NRLW team is set to compete against the Warriors in New Zealand at FMG Stadium Waikato this weekend.

After a slow start in their previous match, the Raiders found their feet with late first-half tries from captain Zahara Temara and second rower Hollie-Mae Dodd, keeping them in contention.

However, the Brisbane team surged in the latter stages of the game, resulting in a lopsided scoreline and leaving the Raiders still seeking their first win.

Conversely, the Warriors experienced a dominant performance against the Bulldogs, decisively winning 34-6 in a Saturday match.

In preparation for this matchup, Raiders coach Darrin Borthwick has made some adjustments to the lineup due to the injury of winger Madison Bartlett, who is out for the season with a fractured collarbone sustained in the contest against the Broncos.

Mackenzie Wiki will take Bartlett's position on the wing, allowing Chey Robins-Reti to step into the starting side at centre.

This Saturday presents a crucial do-or-die moment for the Raiders as they seek their inaugural win, but facing a confident Warriors team, currently sitting sixth and coming off a commanding victory, poses a significant challenge.

Notably, these two teams have never clashed before.
