Munster Considers Future Amid Career Struggles

Cameron Munster Reflects on Career Amid Struggling Form

Cameron Munster admits he's not performing at his usual standard, having labeled the recent match against the South Sydney Rabbitohs as "embarrassing."

As the Storm face a challenging six-game losing streak before their upcoming match against the Dolphins, Munster's concerns deepen.

His form has been critically assessed, deemed as the worst of his career just ahead of the crucial State of Origin Game 1 selection.

Although he's expected to retain his position as captain for Billy Slater's side, Munster candidly shared his thoughts about his future on his podcast with Jahrome Hughes and Ryan Papenhuyzen, considering what lies ahead if he can't find his way back to form.

OPINION: Is Cameron Munster's Origin spot in doubt?

"The worst I've had in my 13-year career is probably back-to-back losses, I don't think I've ever had six in my life. It's something I'm not really used to," he reflected.

"You always question a lot of things in your mind, whether you still can play the game of rugby league."

Munster added, "You don't forget how to play, but at the same time you start to question your confidence and I'm sure there's a lot of guys in the team who have questioned themselves at times."

Finally, he candidly expressed, "There have been some times in my head thinking should I be hanging them up, to be completely honest?"
