Moses Defends Coach Daley Amid Criticism
Mitch Moses, halfback for the Parramatta Eels, has stepped in to support his NSW Blues coach, Laurie Daley, as criticism from former players escalates following a couple of lackluster State of Origin matches this year.
The Blues struggled in Game 2 in Melbourne, forcing a decisive match at Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium, known as a tough venue in rugby league.
While Daley has faced scrutiny for some of his player selections and interchange tactics in the initial games of the 2026 series, Moses is openly backing his coach.
"The sh*t at Loz … I don't understand it to be honest," Moses remarked to the Daily Telegraph.
"It's coming from the own people, it's coming from your own people that have worn the jersey before and they should know better."
"We should be getting behind Loz as much as possible and supporting him, not just bashing him up and beating him down."
"I don't want to keep dwelling on it."
"But yeah, just having it from your own people is not good."
Moses is set to achieve his 250-game milestone on Thursday night against South Sydney, marking his first game in the blue and gold in five weeks.
