Injury Doubts for Blues' Key Players

Laurie Daley has sparked intrigue regarding the selection of the NSW Blues spine ahead of the King's Birthday clash.

The availability of Parramatta Eels halfback Mitchell Moses and Canterbury Bulldogs centre Stephen Crichton is under consideration as their Round 14 match approaches.

While both players are anticipated to be named on Tuesday afternoon, concerns linger about their injuries.

In Game One, Ethan Strange filled the five-eighth role impressively, showcasing himself as arguably the Blues' standout performer. However, Daley discussed Moses's potential inclusion for Game Two during a segment on Channel 7's Agenda Setters on Monday night.

"Mitch did all the training, all the major sessions," Daley mentioned regarding the preparations for Game One.

He acknowledged, "We all know what a quality player Mitch Moses is, and he's a big part of the team. Obviously, he's missed the last couple of Origin games, but he's a big part of the team."

Daley further remarked, "His style of footy - with his kicking game, his ability to organise, his ability to pass - is different to Ethan's. But if they're both fit, they'll both be there somewhere."

Strange's debut received only accolades, with insights revealing his versatility during the training camp.

Daley noted, "Ethan trained a bit of everywhere (before Origin I)."

He added, "He trained a bit at centre, fullback, five-eighth, lock throughout the week. He didn't really have many reps going into Origin I, so his performance was outstanding."
