Fullback Connor Votano, a standout talent from the Newcastle Knights, has committed to the Canterbury Bulldogs, signaling a promising addition to their roster.
His management agency, Titans Sports Management, announced on Instagram that Votano has inked a two-year contract extending through 2028.
The 20-year-old will officially join the Bulldogs in 2027, further solidifying their outside back options.
Votano's journey began at The Entrance Tigers before he navigated the development pathways within the Knights' system.
In 2023, he earned the Kurt Gidley Medal as the Harold Matthews Cup Player of the Year, highlighting his potential at the club.
His trajectory soared in 2024 when he played for New South Wales in the Under-19s State of Origin match.
The following season, Votano became part of the Knights' full-time NRL roster and made his NRL debut in round 24 against the North Queensland Cowboys.
In that debut, he recorded 98 running metres, three tackles, and a tackle break.
Speculation surrounding his move to the Bulldogs suggested two main factors: the team's long-term vision for him and a stronger chance for a starting position compared to the Knights.
