Tom Trbojevic is feeling a lot better than he was just a week ago, but the Sea Eagles star may have to sit out of the upcoming Pacific Championships due to his shoulder injury.

It looks like surgery might be on the cards for Tom, who hasn't donned the green and gold since 2018.

"I haven't really thought about playing for the Kangaroos, but I reckon it'd be a bit of a long-shot," Tom said when asked about his chances of representing Australia later this year.

Right now, his focus is on taking on the Roosters in the semi-final this Saturday.

Despite battling through a shoulder issue and a niggling MCL injury during last week's game against Canterbury, Tom trained on Wednesday afternoon.

Luckily, his shoulder is feeling a lot better than it was last week and he won't need any strapping on his knee after hurting it in round 26.

"It's improving this week as expected.

I'll avoid contact until game day to give it a chance to heal, and then I'll be ready to go," Tom explained.

It's all about taking it one game at a time for the talented Sea Eagles fullback, as he aims to lead his team to victory against the Roosters.
