Jason Ryles, the new coach for the Eels, has finally broken his silence on the recent exodus of 11 players, including Reagan Campbell-Gillard, and the uncertainty surrounding Clint Gutherson's future.
Ryles wasted no time in revamping the squad that landed in the lower ranks in 2024, with Campbell-Gillard leading the pack of departures.
In his debut interview as Eels coach on Parraeels.com.au, Ryles expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity to work with the team's top-notch players in key positions.
"It's an exciting challenge for me," Ryles remarked.
"We have a great mix of seasoned players and talented youngsters, and I believe I can help elevate their game, along with the coaching staff."
With Campbell-Gillard out the door, Ryles is ready to mold the young talent waiting in the wings to make their mark in the NRL.
It's a new era for the Eels, and Ryles is determined to lead them to success on the field.
