The Canterbury Bulldogs have made a significant mid-season move in their pursuit of the 2025 NRL Premiership by securing the immediate release of Finau Latu.
Currently sitting in first place, the Bulldogs are viewed as serious contenders, alongside the Canberra Raiders, New Zealand Warriors, and Melbourne Storm.
This new acquisition follows the recent signing of teenage sensation Lachlan Galvin, who joined before the June 30 deadline.
With Latu's addition, the Bulldogs aim to strengthen their roster as they strive for their first premiership since 2004.
Latu's arrival is confirmed to be effective immediately and will last until the end of the 2028 season.
General Manager of Football Phil Gould expressed his satisfaction, stating, "It was no surprise to see a number of clubs were after Finau's services, but we're very pleased that he sees his future at Belmore." This reflects the Bulldogs' strategic efforts to enhance their lineup and solidify their position as title contenders.
