Gold Coast Titans unveil quirky punishment by head coach Des Hasler for players during NRL training sessions.

Young gun Jojo Fifita reveals that Hasler uses a swimming noodle to give the players a bit of tough love on the field.

Fifita attributes his recent standout performances to Hasler's unique training methods, which have given him the edge in the NRL.

The 21-year-old's stellar performance in the Titans' recent 20-18 victory over North Queensland showcased his skills, with 156 meters gained, a try scored, and impeccable catches under high balls.

With two wins in their last five games, and narrow losses keeping them just outside the top eight, the Titans are gearing up for a showdown with Newcastle this Saturday.

Fifita credits the team's recent success and his personal development to Hasler's unconventional coaching style.

"He's been coming at us with those pool noodles during training drills for high balls.

It's a bit out of the box, but it's been a refreshing change," said Fifita.

"He's going after us, aiming for head, body, or bum.

It's all fair game.

It's intense, like he's swinging a baseball bat, but it's all part of the game."

In true Aussie spirit, the Titans are embracing Hasler's unorthodox approach and reaping the rewards as they strive for success on the field.
