Zane Harrison won four of his first 11 NRL games before a hamstring injury ended his season after an outstanding upset victory over Penrith.
Titans captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui believes the 20-year-old is central to the club's future.
"He is the future," Fa'asuamaleaui told the NewsWire.
He also stressed the importance of keeping the club's emerging players together: "We have to keep this core group together because a lot of these boys are coming through the ranks of the Titans, and that is something that we want to thrive on."
Gold Coast won only twice without Harrison and matched its 2025 win total, though the article said the team improved under new coach Josh Hannay beyond what the results showed.
The Titans want Harrison in a young spine with Jayden Campbell, contracted through 2031, Keano Kini, contracted through 2030, and Oliver Pascoe, who impressed at dummy-half in his rookie season.
Harrison could attract major offers if he enters the open market, with the PNG Chiefs among the clubs reportedly interested.
Reports have suggested he is seeking $900,000 a season, but his manager recently said that claim was incorrect.
