Match Preview: Co-captains Back in Harness Today

NZ Warriors co-captains, Mitchell Barnett and James Fisher-Harris, are set to play together for just the seventh time in today's round 13 NRL match against the Rabbitohs at Accor Stadium in Sydney, with a kick-off scheduled for 2:00 PM local time (4:00 PM NZT).

After starting the first five matches of the season together, their time on the field has been limited due to injuries, with Fisher-Harris only managing eight minutes against the Storm before suffering a pectoral injury.

The two veterans have played together just once since then, contributing to a narrow 16-12 victory over the Dolphins in round 11, but both missed the previous match against the Raiders.

Their return is a crucial boost for the Warriors as they look to recover from a tough encounter last Sunday at Go Media Stadium.

The Warriors currently hold a narrow edge over their opponents, the South Sydney Rabbitohs, who sit ninth on the ladder with 14 points, four points behind New Zealand.

The Rabbitohs have shown recent form with victories over Brisbane and Wests Tigers in their last two games.

Additionally, halfback Jamie Humphreys is expected to continue his development, engaging in a highly anticipated duel with the in-form Warriors playmaker, Luke Metcalf.
