Castleford Tigers have announced that head coach Ryan Carr has departed from the club after being suspended for the previous two weeks amid an internal investigation.

The specifics of the investigation surrounding the Australian coach remain undisclosed.

On Friday night, Australian time, Castleford issued a statement confirming Carr's exit.

"Castleford Tigers RLFC can confirm that Head Coach Ryan Carr has left the club due to personal reasons," the statement read.

"The club would like to thank Ryan for his efforts and wish both him and his family all the best for the future."

It was noted that neither Castleford Tigers RLFC nor Ryan Carr will provide any additional comments regarding this situation.

Owner Martin Jepson addressed the concerns of the club's fans in a written statement.

"I understand that it has been a frustrating few weeks for the fans. The Board of Directors and myself share those frustrations," Jepson remarked.

"I regret that Ryan Carr has left the club, but I wish him and his family well for their future. We have faced difficult circumstances and unfortunately have not been able to provide more information to the supporters. Nevertheless, the actions have been and will continue to be in the best interests of the club.

Listening to the media speculation without being able to respond has been frustrating, but we must prioritize what is best for the club. I assure the fanbase that there is no turmoil or discord within the Board, and the club is in a good position as we prepare for the Centenary and the future beyond 2027."
