Calls for Souths to shift Mitchell spark NRL debate

Claims Latrell Mitchell has 'infiltrated Souths' as NRL club urged to make massive call

In a dramatic turn of events, it seems like Latrell Mitchell has 'infiltrated Souths' as NRL fans and experts alike urge the club to make a massive call.

The Rabbitohs put on a more committed effort in their recent clash against Cronulla, with Mitchell watching from the sidelines, prompting calls for a position switch for the star player.

As Mitchell serves a three-game suspension, young gun Jye Gray seized the opportunity to shine in the No.1 jersey.

Gray's impressive performance, with 15 runs for 172 metres, breaking seven tackles and delivering an off-load, has sparked discussions about moving Mitchell to the centre position.

Mitchell rose to stardom at the Roosters while playing in the centres before transitioning to fullback at Souths.

However, doubts have arisen about his effort and positioning on the field compared to top-tier fullbacks.

"Souths showed some real effort over the weekend, something we haven't seen in a while," noted journalist Paul Kent on NRL 360.

The pressure is mounting on the Rabbitohs to make a bold decision and switch Mitchell back to the centre position to revitalize their game.
