Bulldogs Retain Key Players with Extensions

The Canterbury Bulldogs have solidified the future of three of their players, as Enari Tuala, Alekolasimi (AJ) Jones, and Jed Reardon have all signed contract extensions.

Tuala has received a well-deserved two-year extension, having established himself as an integral part of Canterbury's backline since joining the team last season.

The 27-year-old has had a stellar start to the 2026 campaign, netting two tries in nine matches, along with eight line breaks and an average of 170 running metres per game.

Phil Gould, the Bulldogs' general manager, expressed that Tuala's contributions go beyond his performance on the field.

"Enari epitomises what it means to be team-first. He had to wait for his opportunity, but has since taken it with both hands and has become one of the most important players," Gould stated.

"He's slotted in at centre and on the wing - and has been equally impressive in both positions. His versatility makes him even more valuable, and we're thrilled to call him a Bulldog for another two years."

Additionally, the Bulldogs have extended the contracts of two rising forwards, with Jones securing a one-year extension and moving up to the club's top 30 roster.

Jones made his NRL debut in Round 9 this season after making his way through Canterbury's development programs.

Reardon, another forward, has also been acknowledged for his efforts after debuting in Round 12, signing a development contract for the upcoming 2027 season.
