Parramatta Eels fullback Abbi Church is singing coach Steve Georgallis' praises as the team battles for a shot at the NRLW finals.

As they gear up for an important game this weekend, Church reflects on the impact Georgallis has had on her game, propelling her to new heights this season.

The Eels, once at the bottom of the ladder in 2023, are now within touching distance of a top four finish with just two games left to play.

Church, who was on track to receive top Dally M votes before the voting process went underground, is in the best form of her NRLW career.

"I'm feeling more confident on the field.

Georgie has played a massive role in that.

While he hasn't completely overhauled my game, he has provided me with the tools to make a significant impact," Church says as she prepares for her 25th NRLW game, making her the first Eels player to achieve this milestone.

"He's all about setting goals and keeping things simple.

According to him, football is a straightforward game - do the little things right, and the rest will follow.

This mindset has been a game-changer for me.

Everyone on the team has embraced it this year, and when everyone pulls their weight, it makes everything smoother.

"We're in it together, working as a unit."

With their eyes set on a top four finish, Church and the Eels are ready to keep pushing forward, drawing strength from their coach's guidance and unity as a team.
