Ruby-Jean Kennard-Ellis earned a maiden Australian Prime Minister's XIII call-up at the end of the season after establishing herself in the St George Illawarra front row.

The 23-year-old has signed a new Dragons deal, keeping her at the club until at least the end of 2027.

Under Head Coach Nathan Cross, she started every match, scored four tries-the most by any NRLW front-rower-and averaged 87 run metres.

"I'm grateful to be extending my time with the Dragons," Kennard-Ellis said.

"It was a big year for me, and I really enjoyed my footy this season. I had a great time building relationships with everyone at the club, and I have a lot of faith in the direction we are heading."

Cross praised her attitude and application, saying, "Ruby was excellent for us all year."

"She ended up being one of the real success stories. She started every game for us and became an integral part of the team because of her professional approach and willingness to learn.

"She started the year on the development list, earned herself a supplementary contract, and now jumps up into the Top 24.

Ruby's an awesome example of the value of hard work, and we're excited to know she'll remain a Dragon for 2027."
