Xerri's Future: No Talks Amid Rising Interest

‘Handled by Gus’: Twist over disgruntled Dogs star’s future as Ciraldo addresses exit rumours

Speculation surrounding the future of Bulldogs star, Bronson Xerri, has intensified, especially with interest from both the Storm and Eels.

However, Bulldogs coach Cameron Ciraldo has stated that there have been no conversations regarding releasing him before the June 30 deadline.

Xerri, who has an additional year remaining on his contract, was recently seen at the airport alongside his agent, reportedly having met Storm officials in Melbourne.

The Storm are eager to sign him following the unfortunate injury to star winger Xavier Coates, who will not be playing this season, alongside fellow centre Nick Meaney, who is also out of action.

Despite being granted the greenlight by the Bulldogs to communicate with competing clubs, an immediate release for Xerri appears unlikely.

"That has not been discussed at all," Ciraldo commented, preferring to leave negotiations to Xerri and Bulldogs' figurehead Phil Gould.

"Bronson's a big part of the team. We love having him here and I expect him to play a lot more footy before the end of the year."
