Dane Gagai's NRL Future Decided

Dane Gagai's future in the NRL is now clear, as the accomplished centre prepares to join the Brisbane Broncos on a one-year contract starting next season, concluding a remarkable 16-year journey in the league.

The speculation surrounding Gagai's career had been rife over recent months, with discussions ranging from his potential retirement to a last-minute transfer away from Newcastle.

All conjecture has been put to rest following the Broncos' confirmation of Gagai's signing.

According to reports from the Courier Mail, Gagai's new deal is valued at over $250,000.

Simon Scanlan, the Broncos General Manager of Recruitment and Pathways, expressed his enthusiasm for Gagai's return.

"The Broncos are very excited to see Dane making a return to Red Hill in 2027," he stated.

"His form this season has been outstanding, and he has undoubtedly been one of the form centres this year.

On Tuesday, Gagai successfully completed a medical examination in Newcastle, clearing the last obstacle to his move back to the Broncos.
